There are three main passages in the Bible that deal with the New Heaven and the New Earth. All things will be new, not just human beings – God redeems all of creation, with the people who are genuine believers in the God of this universe, who have a personal relationship with Jesus. And we will not be just spirits floating around the clouds, because this is not Biblical truth. Heaven is not in the clouds. Jesus was murdered, but then he rose from the dead. He came back with a spiritual body that could walk, talk, cook a meal, and eat it with his friends who recognised him (Luke 24:40-43 and John 21:8-14). Believers who die will be like him (1 Corinthians 15:12-25 ). In heaven with him, in a true paradise.

Be assured that Jesus will return at the appointed time. So do not lose sight of this hope, nor lose the confidence you can have in the return of Jesus Christ to bring believers home to be with him for all time in a perfect world.
