It may surprise you to learn that science and the Bible agree in most remarkable ways, and the more research and archaeology that is done, the more convincing is this fact. We have many theories as to how the world was made, and over time, these theories change, but the Bible remains the same. This is because a rational personal creator made us and the universe in an orderly way so that it does hold together perfectly. Change one aspect and it all falls apart. But the Bible is written differently because it is not a scientific textbook, but is made up of 66 separate books that God reveals hold together remarkably well – both Old Testament and New Testament books (with the New Testament often quoting passages from the Old Testament). Christians know that this is not remarkable, but it is actually God who is remarkable in creating it this way for us – to help us to understand what matters, and that it is God who matters to us.
