This sermon:

How to be a Healthy Great Commission Church

Pittwater Presbyterian Church in Newport is a small church with good resources, except for the limited size of its congregation. This video looks at the general issues faced to grow into a healthy church in this local society, and it specifically looks at these challenges being faced. It commences with an introduction of where we have come from and how God has worked in this church over many years – as a church, and in individuals. Ian then talks on the topic of “How to be a Healthy Great Commission Church“.

The intention of this video is to be thought provoking, particularly to this specific congregation, as regards to the personal spiritual growth of those in the church, then at the relationship that their family and friends have with God, but ultimately working towards reaching out to those in the local community – where the unrealised need is immense. The benefits of continuing to grow closer and closer in a personal relationship to God have to be experienced to be believed – they are real and exciting, and the joy of this success provides ongoing encouragement to continue in this wise and valuable undertaking. Hard work? Not when God is constantly at the helm.

The question worth asking and thinking closely on is – ‘what is the direction in my life?’
