The Bible book of Romans is a challenge that is full of great helpful information, written by Paul, inspired by God. Chapter 8 is a pinnacle in Romans, and verse 13 is worth really meditating on – “For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.” Romans 8:13. Campbell focuses on this verse in chapter 8, as well as covering verses 14 to 17 for us.

However, he also contrasts this with Romans chapter 7 (particularly from verse 7 onwards – Romans 7:7-25 NIV – The Law and Sin – What shall we say, – Bible Gateway), and before Paul wrote chapter 8, Paul finishes chapter 7 with – “What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death?  Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God’s law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.” Romans 7:24-25.
