No 2 in the series ‘Heros of the Faith’

Is Miriam really a hero? Why has Jeff included her in this series “Heros of the Faith”? Because Miriam is shown to be a hero and so is grouped with her two brothers, Moses and Aaron – they are three pioneers and trailblazers. Micah 6:4 recognises Miriam as playing a vital role in the Exodus of the Hebrews from Egypt. God says, “I brought you up from the land of Egypt. I redeemed you from the house of bondage, and I sent before you Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.”

Jeff encourages us to look further and to emulate Miriam. But not to copy all that she says or does, because even the best of us do things that we are ashamed of, and that may cause God to challenge us strongly, as he does with Miriam.
