Money is a great blessing. But it has the ability to bring out the worst in people, even those of seemingly good nature and good character, even in ourselves. The 1st century church in Corinth also had this problem, and not just with money. We, along with all humanity, as nice as we normally are, have a sinful bent. Unfortunately we are reluctant to see our own sin, to own it, to change, and so to repent. It is sadly inevitable; and denying this only blocks us from moving forward as we should, and often as we would also like to. But there is a solution to this – owning our sin, changing, repenting and being forgiven. Sounds easy doesn’t it. Though it is vitally important for us, it is the hardest to do.
