This sermon:

Take Time to Pray – Daniel 9

Daniel’s life illustrates real prayer and answers to prayer, likely throughout the 80 or so years of his life. Phil draws us to Daniel’s amazing prayer life with examples, particularly in relation to God’s promise in Jeremiah 29:10. Daniel 9:3 records for us: “So I turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in prayer and petition, in fasting, and in sackcloth and ashes“. And God answered many if not all of Daniel’s prayers. He then extends what Daniel tells us so that it helps us to understand prayer and its importance for us all. Our personal relationship that we have with Jesus is our key to life. Prayer is a discipline, and it can start with the simplest of prayers “Lord, teach me to pray”.
