No 9 in the series “The Book of Psalms”

Psalms are often regarded as being dry, uninteresting and full of words that don’t seem to make sense. Jeff goes through Psalm 32 verse by verse and shows how it ties in closely with the New Testament, and with our own lives today. He makes the words live and appropriate for us, so that we can get closer to what God is saying to us, and revealing why that is so important for a satisfying and productive life. Much of what is in the Old Testament of the Bible is quoted in the New Testament. Not just the odd bits here and there, but lots. Two verses in this short psalm are quoted word-for-word in the book of Romans. Jesus himself often quoted from the Bible of his time (the Old Testament books). Words like ‘imputation’ and even ‘double imputation’ are delightfully explained using Jeff’s own personal experience. And this relates to God freely showing mercy for our failings, while also providing unmerited grace.
