This sermon:

The Parable of the Shrewd Manager

This is one of the strangest of Jesus 40 or so parables, but it is here to teach us some sort of spiritual reality. To teach us something about the Kingdom of God. Luke advises us that “the people of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own kind than are the people of the light“(Christians) – Luke 16:8. What does Paul mean here? Does God endorse this shrewdness? No, that does not fit with God’s character. But God does tell us to be wise with our worldly wealth, but what if we don’t have any wealth? How should we handle the wealth that we have – big or small? Lots of questions for us as we live in this world. Listen to what Duncan has to help us navigate these issues.
