#2 in the Series: ‘The Book of Psalms’

Psalm 21 contains 13 verses, but these verses can be read to teach us as if they are three separate, but identical, psalms. One reading is a focus on the king, another is a focus on us, and the third is the perfect focus on Jesus. Jeff reveals what this psalm is saying to us, while referencing many other passages in the Bible to back up why he sees it this way. It is a psalm of David, the man who fought many battles, physical wars, personal survival battles, and deep spiritual battles. He won many and so became known as ‘a man after God’s own heart’, but he also lost many, showing that although he became king, he also made disastrous mistakes. He was a sinner, just like us, but he knew that his faith in God must never be shaken.
