Adam shows that at the time of Jesus, only the books in the Old Testament (OT) were regarded as scripture because the NT did not exist until after Jesus was crucified. Shortly after Jesus’ death, these NT documents were written down, and at that early time they also were being regarded as scripture. Adam goes on to say, with some humorous stories, the importance of living up to what Jesus’ gospel [good news] tells us. This is great joyful news.
